A blacklist is used to hide posts with content you don't want to see, but they must have the tags you put in the blacklist, so just put all the tags you don't like into the blacklist and it hides all the posts with those tags

I think the issue is that FA doesn't have community tagging implemented. Most sites that have a blacklist system also allow non-OP members to edit and add appropriate tags so whatever fetish it is gets identified.

I totally agree. That should be available here. I mostly browse FA using the SFW filter but I'm worried that people just don't put up the appropriate tags on their picture (if they put any) and that because of that, they slip through the filter anyway. :/

I agree, the lack of blacklist is driving me crazy and I wanted to cater to wider range of people who might enjoy some niche kinks such as watersports, without triggering those who don't want to see such content.

There are many reasons I find e621 superior with its sophisticated tagging system and blacklist system. You could tag, and if people don't like them, the arts can be blacklisted.

Yeah, but minors aren't allowed on e621 because they don't have mature locking. They're focused specifically on porn it seems, despite having a "safe" submission option.

All those on 3 separate posts instead of replacing it with what all those words mean

There are always people who enjoy your art, just some people don't like the art you make and don't like seeing it, but that doesn't matter, you can draw what ever you want as long as it's not insulting

Still people who don‘t want to see gore, vore, scat or diapers should be able to block these tags. Nothing against your kinks, but it is really REALLY offputting when every second post contains undesirable content and kills the vibe.

Like, this website has TONS of potential for being THE top spot for furries and it's limited by not having a blacklist. Something so simple, that could benefit everyone. Like I don't judge who has different wild fetishes, I just would love to not stumble upon them on my front page. I'd like to have content on the front page catered to my tastes. Idk, it still is really weird they haven't thought of adding this feature yet. Could it also be from the admins being afraid blacklists would ruin the site's rep or something? idk.

I get folk are into some weird stuff. I'm into some weird stuff, but everyone has their limits. Like scat porn will literally stick in my brain and ruin any porn hunt or jack-off session for days for me. I don't even wanna try and search for anything here because there's a high chance I'll run into it.
A blacklist isn't a scary thing. You just mess with your settings. Rule 34 has it down and there's still shit on there for people who want to see that stuff. Either people aren't making a big enough deal about it or the admins straight up don't care.

Specially because some content is just downright wrong and possibly traumatic

3 years later, still no blacklist. I started getting WAY more sensitive to noncon as of late and I'm also getting real sick of seeing scat and farting randomly when looking up some tags. Seriously, FurAffinity needs to get with the times, this ain't 2007 deviantArt anymore.

Hey y'all, I got a newsflash!
If any of you happen to use either the Google Chrome, Firefox or Opera browsers, there is an extension that allows you to blacklist keywords/artists.
Look up "Filter Affinity" on whichever add-on/extension site you're using for your browser and it should be there.
It sadly can't block out tags because FurAffinity is coded in a real fun way; however, if the blacklisted word is in the title/description or you just don't want to see a certain artist, it works.

I found a solution for blacklisting. It's a pain in the ass but it works. What ever you don't want to see put a "-" in front of it in the search bar. If you are searching for foxes and don't want to see any gore, scat, ect. You'll put "fox -scat -gore" in the search.

This journal is still the only Google result... urgh...
