"Turian Week Line-Up
As you all know, turian week approacheth! Slowly but surely, the fourteenth of August is creeping up on us. With that in mind, we’re releasing the calendar of events early, so you have plenty of time to prepare and get started on working on all sorts of fun things if you want to be ahead of the curve! Please keep in mind that turian week is for EVERYONE- your own OCs, canon characters, turians of every shape, size, identity, etc.
You’ve still got plenty of time, so don’t fret! This is just for those who like to plan well in advance.
Day One- Introductions- Whether it’s the first time two characters meet, First Contact, or you introducing us to your OCs, introductions are always key. Introductions are in order! Tell the world about your OC- how was the first meeting between them and your Shepard or your Ryder? Have they ever met them? If not, What’s their personality like? What are their likes and dislikes?
Day Two- Hierarchy- Be it on Palaven, on Invictus, in the Terminus, or in Andromeda, turians are mostly defined by their military culture… or are they? Are they Special Forces? Spectres? Mercenaries? C-Sec? None of the above? How has the Hierarchy shaped them?
Day Three- Culture- Customs, culture, habits, calibrations, and the shooting range.
What is their life like? What shaped their world? What rituals and idiosyncrasies pepper their daily lives?
Day Four- Domestic life- The Turian at home- The customary beliefs, the social forms, and material traits of a society based on meritocracy, and how that shapes the characters involved.
Day 5- Your Favorite Turian- “I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favourite Turian on the Citadel.”
It wouldn’t be a proper turian appreciation week without showing some gratuitous love for your favorite turian. Here’s your chance to create something that pays homage to the turian you like the most, be they in the Milky Way or in Andromeda.
Day 6- Love and intimacy- Let’s face it. We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t all love turians more than just a little bit. But how do turians show love? And what about intimacy? When it comes time for those special occasions, what happens?”
Day 7- AUs- For characters we lost far too soon or simply to explore alternate paths of life, everyone loves a good AU. Share yours, whatever it may be!"
