if you voted for trump and refuse to admit he's a horrific mistake of a human being unfit to lead this already shitty country, you're part of the problem.
i would abstain. or vote third party. protest votes are valid in that case.
i voted for hillary, knowing it was a throw-away vote in a state as surely red as mine. because it really didn't matter. i mostly went to vote for local issues.
edit: the point is owning up and acknowledging that he's not fit to be president, and he's helped to incite violence upon innocent people around the nation. your vote, you can't change. but you CAN say "man, hindsight, that was fucked up."
Well the whole reason i voted for trump was coz i knew he could not do any thing since he has no clue about politics making him harmless at least i hope so. And i know trump is not fit for the position but i really did not want Hillary to win since i pretty sure she could do real damage with her knowledge if she wanted to.
honestly, the very ability to see trump as less dangerous than hillary is likely based in privilege, since the threat he represents is really to marginalized people (poc, lgbt people, disabled people, etc.) and not the status quo. the idea he's not doing "real damage" just by being in office and empowering and emboldening racists and bigots is... one i can't get behind.
Sorry to hear that. It's true you need money and people in high places. But still if politics is your passion don't give up even if the odds are against you.
doesn't excuse voting for cheeto fascist.
