Well, we all knew it was coming, it was just a matter of when.
NECN (New England Cable News network) just aired a segment, showing how some stores such as L.L Bean are preparing for, and already promoting their holiday shopping season to consumers.
Why so early?
Seriously, companies these days will do anything to make a quick buck. And trying to ring in the holiday season this early is just another trick in the book.
It's one thing to start Christmas a day AFTER Thanksgiving. But to start it as early as the middle of August? We're still into Summer! Not much of the season left, but still. People wonder why I dislike the holidays, and I tell them why. And I point to this as another example.
Yes, I am a scrooge, and no, I do not care what some will think of me.
But anywho, I just had to get that off my chest.
