Have you tried some YCH auctions? I have heard some do pretty well with those.
Another thing I'd say is to do some set prices of your head shots, icons, bust and or half body commissions. Maybe update your price guide?
I have seen others charge way too much for some flat pieces that they do.

I've done lots of commissions in 2014, back under my name desmodia.
I used to do all of what you have mentioned.

so far I have updated my price guide and want to start again with ych, as the commissioner will already have an idea of what to expect.
