I'd love some feedback on two things gnawing away at me:
1) Am I getting too formulaic or stale? I know that all my stories follow the same setup and they seem to all be popular but I'm starting wonder if I should try different formatting or something to "freshen up"
2) Am I putting in -too- much effort into these? The past few ones I've aimed to be about seven-thousand words, then I end up writing seventeen-thousand words. I don't mind the additional effort and work, but I am curious to see if I could try to condition myself to aim for lower word counts.
Possible idea: try to limit requests to shorter ones relatively speaking, but keep ones I think of myself to similar lengths as the previous ones?

I've enjoyed just about every story so far despite the lengths, they're definitely well written and I feel like the beginnings help set the stage for the sexy parts at the end, whether it's a lengthy 17,000 word story or just 7,000. Personally I've enjoyed the earlier shorter stories more, but that is more so because I enjoy those types of Pokemon (Absol, Vaporeon, etc) as opposed to those in the newer stories, but I've definitely still enjoyed reading them all!
I like the idea of limiting requests to shorter stories, since that leaves more time to be put into the stories that you come up with! Though a request could easily become a longer story, I feel that would be the better thing to try and limit rather than the ideas you have yourself. Hope this feedback helps!
I never feel like my time is wasted because I know there's a good story in that length, and the build-up really attracts me as much as the payoff, y'know?
