elias (and milo, his son, and another oc, noam) are in a sort of. half fantasy? world where, when people die, they're immediately put in a short "limbo period" where certain people (angels: either by birth or by choosing it as a work field) , so these people who work in a government (tax funded) facility, called angels (or "caretakers" in-field) are in charge of working with people in limbo.
the process is that when a person dies and are in the limbo period theyre taken to the hq which is a building and they go through some general info proccessing like name, age, etc, and then theyre questioned by a certified caseworker (angel) who helps them proccess the situation and then theyre put to rest which is basically when they actually Die.

With Danat, I'm thinking that he didn't have a very great childhood so he grew up troubled. Like, his parents didn't give him much affection at all and his dad took his arm and gave him those scars but I haven't figured out why/how yet. So he's had to switch his prosthetic as he grew up and he hated it. He was a very quiet kid, but he was a total hoodlum as a teenager. He stayed that way until his late 20's and eventually kind of grew out of it, and now he's back to being kind of sheepish and socially awkward and trying to do adult things. But he's very defensive of kids because of his bad childhood, he wants to give them what he couldn't have. DAS ALL I GOT at this exact moment uvu

he's a pretty chill guy now, so simpler, more romantic but still kinda unique things would probably be the best bet. he's big on sight seeing - watching the big tree get lit up for christmas, watching the ball drop on new years, stuff like that! i'd say a date to a coffee shop but that would probably wind up boring elias to death bc danat would sit there awkwardly and sheepishly, oops
