Another year older...

Today's the day I get yet another year older - older than I ever thought I'd be when I was a much younger person. Wish I was doing better but then I wish almost everyone was doing better these days. Kinda hoping today doesn't suck as much as I've feared it will for the past couple of weeks. I guess I'll find out what the next few hours bring.
And several of the creative types I watch here have been busy indeed. I leave this unattended for a few days and get buried in submissions.

I relate. Mine have usually really sucked, and like you, I didn't think I'd get this old when I was younger.
Most of the time I've had to make things happen for myself, but this year didn't leave a lot for me to work with. Fortunately some circumstances worked out and it was better that I thought it would be & better than some I've had in the past couple of decades.

I hope next year sucks less for most people. I say most because for it suck less for us, it'll have to suck more for some others.
