Company's creep me out sometimes...

So my husband went and checked the mail a bit ago,only to come in and looking at a piece of paper. He looks over at me and says, "Apparently Slim Chickens sent you a Happy Birthday thing for a free meal this month."
I of course get the most profoundly confused look on my face. Why you ask? Because I have never been to this restaurant in my life,not once ever,anywhere. I've never signed up for anything with them,nor have I had any family eat at this chain restaurant. So my husband goes and makes my paranoia worse on this subject by jokingly saying "They must be watching you."
....Yeahp thanks... Now every time I go by one of those places I'm going to be creeped out and forever paranoid... lol

They're probably owned by another chain that you get emails and / or bought stuff from before - most restaurant chains are actually owned by other, bigger names - but they'll never tell you that b/c people pick favorites (even though most are owned by one another).

The only chain company's around here I've ever been to is Taco Bell,McDonalds,and Subway. Only one that I've ever gave my email too is Taco Bell. I mean it's possible Taco Bell owns Slim Chicken's around here,but I'd find that a little odd since Slim Chickens actually started here in the town I live in.
