Well, it is a hard language for me too but I doubt it it is harder than Malaysian :P

the word tau is in spoken malay if real way it is tahu, but if it is tauhu then it means tofu :P

Of course, only one letter in a word can completly change the meaning of it.

I defenitly should take a look at this language one day and see by myself if it is really easy or not ;)

well , english is my main speaking language followed by malay(malaysian) and then japanese (not that much) , mandarin(some words), and tamil (some words and sentences).
in my country it is normal for everyone to have good malay, some chinese and malays can speak tamil, some indians and malays can speak perfect mandarin or hokkien.

in my town there are 5 dialects of chinese ( Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hakka and another one I forgot)

"Wir holen ab" is present tense.

If so... Oh god... This book is from a brand that is apparently Teacher's choice number 1. I can't believe they let a mistake like that happen. Plus, it is not like it was in the middle of the book, it is the very first verb that is conjugated in the book XD

I am not sure about the other verbs though. Some seems to behave weirdly in some person in some tenses but I guess it is because they are strong verbs like "Anfangen" and 'Ächzen'
