SWF broken?

Don't know how or why, but SWF no longer works off of my hard drive. Still works from websites, but not when loading local from my computer.
Googled the problem, found the problem has been around since 2015, but the multitude of suggested fixes haven't worked.

I've gone through the entire checklist on this page and nothing's worked. Just like the original poster, it just started while I was in the middle of browsing.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Windows-7 NOOO, Time for Win-8 and Win-10... As far as Linux, Gnome-2
is finally good... NOOO, Time for Unity because it looks and works gooder!!!
