We're not unfamiliar with hurricanes, especially not after the particularly nasty one that hit Georgia dead center in '95 which flooded a major city.

So the fact that most of the state residents were advised to take the needed precautions means nothing good is coming in the next couple days. As anyone who lives near ocean regions will attest... You don't screw with hurricanes.
