As you think of yourself as an otter, does your sexual interest in others change from your everyday thoughts? Or put another way, when you're with other furries, being otterish, do you have different feelings of your own sexuality or interest in others than you do in your "mundane" life?

When I first got into furry stuff, I'd say yes, absolutely; I had a definite sense of 'being free to be otterish' when I had my rare encounters with furries at cons and parties. But I've lived with other furs for several years, and to be honest, I don't really 'act otterish' in daily life. Being around furries is my 'mundane life' at this point, so I don't really switch from a furry mindset to a mundane mindset :)

Now, if you're talking VR vs. RL, that's a whole other kettle of fish :3

I don't really act otterish/furry that much in everyday life, to be honest. Maybe it's 'cause I'm getting older or just that I've been "into furry" for over 15 years at this point. Not sure, though; when you think of 'acting otterish', what do you imagine? :)

Now, VR is a different story; I like to have an active fantasy life and it's fun to play different characters. Sure, it's easy to imagine myself as an otter or whatever when I'm in a virtual environment, creating characters and acting out scenarios. In VR I can have a tail, run around naked, be a teenager... :)

...when you think of 'acting otterish', what do you imagine?

Well, when I'm with furries or role playing online, I like to be friendly, happy and bouncy, more touchy than... well, than I'd ever be normally, (but only if I'm sure it's welcome), a bit hyper and I try to smile all the time. IRL I'll make otter-ish gestures just for fun... not constantly of course... and I'll chirp and squeak for emphasis. Online I'm slutty with anybody who wants me; why not, online I'm adorable and there are no consequences. From what I've seen of RL otters this isn't far from how they really act.
