Really sorry to hear about your loss. Just remember the things your mother taught you, the help she have to you, and the joy she shared with you when she was with you. <3

I remember once when we were taking a family trip, how my Mom once mixed her metaphors. She was talking about how expensive something was, and she mixed these two metaphors: Higher than a Georgia pine, and Higher than a Cat's back. It came out as this: Higher than a cat's behind. We all laughed for about a half an hour.

My Mom can carry a grudge for a very long time. There are store chains she will no longer patronize. Well--one at least.

Oh! That explains a lot. Yeah. I think of some members of the Community at the con scene and here on FA as a sort of "Extended Family." Of course sometimes it seems like I'm that "Strange Uncle" nobody likes to talk about.

Anyway, My condolences over the loss of your Mother. I lost both of my parents close to the end of the 20th Century and there are still times I expect to see them walk in through the Kitchen Door.

You'll be okay. It just takes time, that's all. Plus a lot of support from Family and friends.
