Yeah,well...try getting a bath in this joint now. :/ Every drop is precious now that the heat will return Wednesday and there's no such thing as AC at the moment. Lovely!

Well, finally got power back late yesterday afternoon. Had to go through the breaker panel and sequentially restart these central AC, water pump, heavy draw appliances like the refrigerator. We thankfully emptied out the freezer and fridge, cooked up what would have been lost in another day or two, most through the week. Have some away, had a pot luck party with the neighbors. It took a while to get hot water back, between bleeding air from the tank and then just waiting for it to heat up. Some timer and electronic controlled lights needed resetting/programming...restarted the pumps in the aquariums. Everyone is fine, pets too.

Now just got to wait for the craze to pass, it's hard still to find fresh food, but we have tinned food to last a while yet. Gas is starting to be easier to find but the supply interruption from Harold slows progress there a bit still. Prices are normal, don't is just infrequent and sticking of fresh produce is slow as stores throw out ruined product. The town is slowly waking up and cleaning up...thankfully nobody I know is sick or harmed in any way. We all did good between neighbors and ourselves. Mom all but cried for joy when the juice came back on and was immediately on the phone contacting family. Oddly, cable internet was hot the entire time. It's usually the first thing to fall under pressure on a regular, stormy day. I have had a nap after a hot dinner, beer, working AC. I'm off to the showers!
