That's a real dick move, unfortunately I've had a lot of shit luck with jobs, but most of them ended with me either being fired, or on the verge of, so I have nothing to help you make a positive of it.

Well, all I can do is ride out next week then start applying elsewhere, back to the dole for me ewe;

I suppose at least you have a heads up. Though the times I lost my job, they'd tell me at the last minute and dismiss me right there, and not give me any time to enact revenge. >.> One of them I was escorted off the premises by the coworker that actually got me fired. (Such a missed opportunity to push him down the elevator shaft... ugh.) Another, they actually locked me out of my network login an hour before my shift was up, so I knew what was going on... so packed my shit up before I left that day, and they CALLED ME AT HOME TO FIRE ME. (Asshats.) Another I found out because they sent an email to everyone congratulating everyone on their "promotions" in my department. Except I was not mentioned as being on staff in my department anymore. Eeyup.

Disclaimer: Don't enact revenge in your remaining week of whatever, totally not worth it... even if it seems like it'd feel good. (But I'd say if you have the option, burning any shirts or whatever that have the company logo on them, provided they don't ask for them back, is fairly cathartic.)
