I plan on making a guide to creating well designed characters some time in the near future

this is my sona I won't just get rid of him so I'll have to say no thankyou for a guide pluse if you make a guide of how to make a sona then you would be limiting the youths creativity

It's advice and tips, not a template. The point of it will be to encourage creativity.

When i first looked i didn't really like it, but there's not too much i can fault it on.
Therefore this is an above average character design, with more room for improvement.

Expected the individuality and complexity parts, especially the latter due to as my friends call it 'fiddly bits'. I'd technically would be against the recognisability part but then I can agree from a passerby it would be compared to friends. Still better than I expected!

I'd say a 7 is a very respectable score, when you look at the competition ^^

Your sona has everything i look for in a really well designed character. I considered long and hard on ways to remove points, but really the only thing that could be improved is simplification (mostly the jagged edges around much of the design, which make it harder to remember in a single look)
So i can happily mention to you that this is the best Sona posted so far, and there's likely not to be others quite as good!

*blushes* the 'jaggedy-ness' is just the artist's interpertation/way of drawing the fur that covers my sona's body. all the medium-blue colored areas are fur-covered, as is the white 'hair/mane'.

What i'm talking about is a consistant overlapping of textures. Most furred creatures have fur across their whole body, even if it's thinner or thicker in certain places. It means people either choose to ignore that your character has those overlaps of texture, or that they go out of their way to draw it which will never be consistant.

Its alright.. Heck..other people's interpertations of my sona.. have changed it over time a bit too... For the better even.
