THIS JUST IN: YGO:GX IS STILL SHIT (a review... sorta)

踊れ愚か者ども!
I watched season 3 again, and it's still as horrible the first time I watched it. Even more so now that I watched that final duel again. My god I don't know what creeps me off more. The fact that they're are openly expressing their homosexual fetishes and raping each other, or the fact that all the characters are emo and hard to look it.
Or the fact that the character who is out of the closet (and still is fucking annoying) is just wearing erotic clothes
and is spouting words on how he's going to literally give all of his love to the main character in the form of pain, suffering, and torment.
He's being possessed by the only character who is gayer than himself which again says a lot about a guy whose deck consist of "Gem Beast" and whose ace monster is the RAINBOW DRAGON
His/her/it's name is Yubel a card spirit who was, and I'm not kidding around, the 10 year old lover of the previous incarnate of the main character... who was 8. He was transformed into... a thing through the card DNA Transplant or something. Any who, he was, and again not kidding, shot into space by Kaibacorp and industrial illusions, the leading manufacturers of card game technology, through via a satellite to develop cards that were stronger hoping that these cards would absorb space radiation... or something.
Yeah cause you know... that's totally how you make cards and stuff.
Yubel got infect by the light which somehow is both sentient and rather stupid. Yubel was fired back into the Earth and came out all evil. And when he did, he developed this plan where he would kill the main character's friends (sorta) to release the power of a card that exists in, and again I'm not kidding about this, another dimension. He's going to use this card to collapse the universe into a singularity where he could torture the main character with his love...
that sounded waaaaaaaay too much like FF8 right there unfortunately.
Now don't get me wrong here. Being gay has nothing to do with why this show was awful. There's the aspect of awful card themes which would never work in any meta. There's the fact that essentially every character (with the exception of Hell Kaiser Ryo whose sole motivation as a character is to just be awesome) was rather plastic. There's also the fact that every line of dialog is essentially pissawful.
But here's the worst part. Everything I just described was from A FUCKING CHILDREN'S SHOW ABOUT FUCKING CARD GAMES. Am I going nuts or is there a reason why a plotline like this exist in a children's show? I mean what is Japan trying to do, make every kid in japan masochistic homosexuals with a leather fetish...
...you know what never mind >.>

When they're playing the fucking card game, they can only do so much with the card game aspect in general. Unless there is a Deus Ex Machina card in the works, like say the God Cards or the Savior Dragon then having a bullshit draw is something that can be understanding. At all other times it should be viable when they summon out cards. Yugi is probably my favorite when it comes to this aspect, because he almost always plans ahead to bring out the card that he needs. It may seem like he did this he pulled it out in a bullshit sort of way, but he was actually planning this from the start. Joey is on the exact opposite of the spectrem where he does get bullshit draws, but he only gets them after a series of awful dead draws which again makes the character a lot better.
Yugioh GX had this awful awful AWFUL situation where every draw was a bullshit draw. The first hand was always retarded. I still had a problem with the Kaiser drawing cards, even if he was an awesome. First hand for Judai: Oh looks I can fuse right off the bat with my ONE COPY OF FUSION. Johan was the biggest irritation that I had with this show. Every single duel he had FUCKING MONSTERS IN HIS HAND and playing monsters almost every turn. That isn't right if he only has EIGHT MONSTERS IN A 40 CARD DECK.
The worst came about in season 4 when Judai randomly decided to shove an honest into his deck and managed to bring it out in every duel he brought out Neos. That's not good writing, THAT'S PULLING STUFF OUT OF YOUR ASS.
The characters in GX were piss awful in terms of what they did. Sho was an annoying little shit, who only became more of an annoying little shit during the 3rd arc when they decided to make everyone emo. Actually that was the entire characterization of every character in GX during season 3. The writers at Konami suddenly thought it was a good idea to put Johan in a bondage outfit and make everyone emo.
Asuka was just an irritating character. Her only character motivation is that she's supposed to be a "strong independent woman" but still has a thing with Judai. That's irritating, boring, predictable, stereotypical, and just plain not a good idea.
Misawa... actually Misawa wasn't so bad until he decided to stay with the giant beefy woman for... some reason.
Manjoume exist to be a comic relief character and I don't hate him per-say. I hate what they do with the character. Everytime they decide to do something interesting with the character; make him a little deeper or make his character more likable. They always take that aspect, pick it up, and throw it out the window in favor of the comic relief.
The Ojama bros. btw are like the Jar Jar Binks equivalent of GX. You don't need to say anything about those characters... just look at them and you can see why I hate them.
The antagonists are a huge problem too. The way they introduced Kagemaru (btw this guy gets the award for the most retarded name in GX) was too fast, too shallow, and way too convenient. His character motivation is good, but they do so little with him that it comes out just stupid. The concept of the Phantasm beasts were really good. It was so good that despite season 1 being full of FAIL, I watched is simply to see it. Cut to season 3, Martin and Yubel using the cards that suck life out of card spirits like they were some ordinary cards... whoo (sarcasm)
Saioh is something I have a problem with too. Saioh's only character motivation seems to be "I want to be evil." You can try to disagree, but keep in mind that he downright just says this in Season 4, his sister Mizuchi says that his sole motivation is that he wants to be evil. Really that's just awful no writer should ever do that.
You already know my problems with Yubel.
DARKNESS was a concept that should never had been acknowledge further solidifying the fact that this show was awful.
