Changing Method?

I think the next time i open for commissions (October) i may change my working process slightly.
Thinking about skipping the lineart preview stage. The WIP sketches that i send out are usually super clean anyway, and hardly ever vary significantly from the lineart WIPs. I usually even comment "not too different from the sketches!" so i'm wondering if i'll just not bother with that part and move right on to the flats WIP previews. Changing any small details is easy enough at the flats stage too. Not really a big deal. I think it'll make the whole process quicker.
But i have like 2 weeks to think it over soooo lol

But give the sketch, then the flat ! Cauz the proceed is super long when you need to give a WIP at each stage
If it's a painting then I'll send the commissioner one extra preview (the underpainting) before I merge all the layers into one because it's easier to fix errors at that point. But for my normal stuff it's relatively easy to change marking colors since they're on their own layer.
You really had people take years to respond???
Yes, I've had at least three different people take over a year to respond to WIPs, one of which I still have yet to hear from after sending multiple reminders multiple places. x__x I'm not really sure what to do, I feel bad holding onto their money that long but it doesn't seem like it's a priority to them? I want to finish it for them, but I need input before I can..
I haven't had anyone try to impersonate me, as far as I know, but it's been an issue for people less popular than me so I figure it can add to the list of reasons I don't like giving lots of WIPs. The other reasons being some people will force a refund on PayPal just to be able to keep the WIP without paying, some people will edit and/or claim stuff as their own, some people will post the WIPs and they'll be floating around without any context. Most commissioners are reasonable but not everyone is respectful/understanding.
