As for theme, I'd say them acting devious. Feel free to mess with them and their designs however you'd like; full artistic freedom.

Here is his ref he is a DOBERMAN (the ref is now out of date) and he has a short bob style tail! As for theme - Hes a batman fan~ Also music / dark stuff / emo stuff is cool! Do whatever you like with him~ hes also a little full of himself! :)
for the theme could i get him looking excited/happy/giddy about something? is that specific enough or do you need more to work with
