HEY GUYS.
cobaltin,
Clumzy and I recorded a cover of 'The Ranger" by Fox Amoore ft. Pepper Coyote! Despite recording it pretty much entirely in my living room with no real fancy production, it actually turned out pretty damn good.
Check it out here! -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RUQ6si14BE
Also feel free to subscribe to the band's Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI.....8pWjVuVWx0wUhg and/or follow our band on Twitter: https://twitter.com/XephyrRocks ^^

I'm not sure about all the specifics as far as mics and samples, since most of that was
cobaltin's. But as far as the guitar setup goes it was pretty simple. We used my cheap ass Line6 UX2 straight into Logic and Pro Tools. My distortion tone was modeled after a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier tweaked from a John Petrucci/Joe Satriani style preset, and the cleans were modeled after a Fender Twin amp and then through my Mooer Ocean Machine double delay and reverb pedal. As for guitars, we used mostly my Schecter Omen 7 and
clumzy's Fender Jazzmaster for the rhythms and then my Schecter Blackjack C-7 and a Jackson Rhoads for the leads and solos ^^

Thanks dude! I've found Line6 can be hit or miss; I know even some of their top of the line stuff like the Helix can sound kind of robotic and sort of muddy, and my interface is just a cheap thing anyway. I plan on either getting a Fractal Axe Fx or a Kemper profiler within the next few months, which will definitely improve the tone immensely X3
