Well... It's been a while since I posted anything, so I thought I should update you all. Bew job I've been working for a year now is going well, not teaching but processing LIFE insurance requests for a 3rd party provider. I have also made a large decision. I have decided to have bariatric surgery. I have tried for a very long time to loose weight and keep it off, and well... none of my other options have really worked out well. I have had my first doctors consultation for the surgery, since I don't currently have any horrible underlying conditions (besides being morbidly obese) I qualify to have the gastric sleeve.
What is this sleeve Stephie? Basically they will cut off part of my stomach that secretes hunger hormones and leave me with a stomach pouch that looks like a banana with lots of titanium staples. I made sure they don't get the staples at office depot. This type of surgery has statistically shown to provide close results to the axis bypass. Now this isn't set in stone. If after all my medical testing is through, i am a diabetic etc, I will be changing to the other bypass.
It has taken me a long LONG time to come to this decision, and I feel I am making the right one. While this may be the end of the fat, cuddly me, I hope that the new more defined me, will be just as attractive if not more. To be clear, I am doing this for my future health and life goals. Theres only so far I can come with impending doom looming over my head. This also means I will be able to fursuit as some of my leaner characters once all is said and done. I do intend to get a full suit of Bastet when all is said and done.
I will be creating a go fund me page for those of you whom would like to aid in helping me pay for said surgery, whilest my insurance pays for 85% of the surgery, the other 15% is due pre-op. Which means I need to cover $3,180.00 and will be out of work for 3 weeks or more while recovering. I intend to post pictures of my progress and will answer any questions you may have.
