Segregation in the LGBTI2Q community

Raven opens her mouth and a voice is heard.
I was at a Pride event last night. Sex toys for Queer girls, and I had a blast. That was, until the event ended and a couple of the girls there saw me sitting in the back. It was about then that I got a few "What the hell are you doing here" looks. This brings me to today's post.
Why is there all this segregation in the LGBTIQ2 community?
I mean, I know we all have our own groups we belong to, and stick to our own communities, but does that really call for hate-mongering and despising someone if they don't belong to your group? The lesbians and gays get along (from what I've seen), and I know this probably isn't the case everywhere, but they ostracize the Bi's, the Trans and the Intersexed, at least, that's what I've seen. Now, before you dig into me for not naming all the groups, I know there's quite a few, but I can't remember some of them. I mean, we are all supposed to be part of the rainbow community, and supposed top help eachother in times of need, but it has been my experience that if I was to ask a lesbian for help with something, I'd be laughed at or told flat out no from some of them (not all). I mean, some of my closest friends are lesbians.
Come on, people, wake up. Alot of the discrimination faced by alot of the communities is what the lesbians and gays were fighting against 50 years ago. It's the same thing the blacks went through and before that, the Irish. You think we'd all help each other, and on several occasions, the trans community has backed up the Gay and Lesbian community, but there was a case in Alberta where, when GRS (Gender Re-assignment Surgery) was delisted in a purely underhanded move by the Alberta Government that only a handful of the Gay community came to back us up and show support. Some of them said they felt it didn't affect them, so they were staying out of it.
I'm just so tired of seeing all this segregation between the communities. It's heart breaking. Remember what Pride week is all about. Love, support and helping others. Why can't we carry this in us all year round instead of one week per year?
I leave it to you, the reader, to decide what you're going to do about this. Love or Hate? Help or Abandon? Do something amazing or Stand in the sidelines? it's up to you.

We see it in pretty much every grouping, just look at how many anthro fans are far more interested in saying that only they are what's 'furry' and everyone else is wrong or 'doesn't get it' or should be excluded. It's not right but they'll do it all the same and then wonder why they aren't taken as having credible views when they display hate while claiming peace.
