I didn't know you were in Vegas! I don't think there are words for a shit storm of that magnitude. Good to know you survived that.

I'm in a town about 60 miles outside of vegas, and I very much prefer it. 24k people in a town meant to hold 75k. it's huge but there aint many people and it's all very peaceful and everyone treats you like family. I couldn't ask for a better set up really I was gonna move to vegas originally, but now I can't imagine anyplace other than here, specially not after this. Not gonna catch me dead living in the big city again..... i realize that's a poor choice of words and i'm gonna say it anyways because that's kinda the point. I'll keep to my cowboys, rednecks, and trucker neighbors and enjoy my peaceful farm. heh.

After this and the deadly silliness of North Korea's leaders, you're forgiven for preferring a forgotten town in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere to a target-rich environment like Vegas or Chicago. Ain't no terrorist - foreign or domestic - is going to shoot/nuke the city of my residence, because nobody even knows what "Indiana" is, or at least that's how the humorless joke is told.
Anyway, great to know you weren't in any danger. I wouldn't know what to do if one of my fellow fur-pals was shot dead in that horror-scene.

really the worst part of it is that he ended it without any explanation. There's no mind or reason to go with the horror that transpired last night. That's going to be the hardest thing for everyone to have to cope with.

it seems like most of those people feel pushed back so often until they decide to hit back as hard as possible. our society still has no place, or patience, for those that don't fit in. :(
