In all respect, ignoring and spectating potential concern doesn't solve anything.
You can understand a group all day long, but all the understanding in the world won't stop the damage groups such as neo-Nazis, ISIS, will present.

He asked about neo-Nazis. I really do not agree that they pose as large a threat as IS does. I still wonder if domestic terrorism poses a larger threat to our nation.

Come on people, let's not do this. I'm not going to do the false equivalence thing and say both parties were equally at fault, because they weren't, but could we at least consider establishing a truce based on the fact that you both did what you honestly thought was the right thing to do at the time?

Including... you know... me, when I did by far the stupidest thing out of any of us by thinking it was a good idea to jump in the middle of this? :S

Hate journals are not allowed. Period. ^^ I don't know how much more clear they can make it. And  dragoneer said he would start cracking down on hate accounts, images, etc.

Okay, but to have any constructive dialog about sensitive topics like religious intolerance we have to understand that the other side genuinely thinks they are doing the right thing. It really helps to recognize the common feeling of concern. When both sides do that, we might get somewhere. "Addressing the problems of the world starts with tolerance and understanding."

I agree with Lani. Could we maybe start the discussion over with a more generalized discussion of problematic religious teachings and how they do and do not manifest themselves in society? Or at least leave the emotion and cheap insults out of it. I know I'll sound condescending by saying it, not my intention, but it's often not what you say but how you say it.

Of course horrible things can be said moderately, like if you said "There is some evidence to suggest that bald, ginger, pasty-white, gay, male, administrative assistants* are genetically predisposed towards becoming cannibalistic child molester cultists in a high percentage of lab studies, and systematic extermination needs to remain on the table as an option, along with other very decent options such as mass internment." and most people would... well maybe agree! I don't know. :S

Lol You're not wrong, but my reply to the person who reported the journal was a bite in return for a bite. She wanted to be a little wasp, so I took a swatter to her, she got mad and reported my journal. But what, I wonder, did she actually accomplish by doing so? She simply cut off several intelligent threads of discourse and completely interrupted the conversations. But that is the modus operandi of socialism; censor all questionable material, report problematic thinkers to the authorities, receive a pat on the head from the party for being a good little snitch. :)
