Curse you Eggs!

If you don't know, I love eggs. Omelettes are actually my favorite food. (Though since I finally tried tempura that might change, mmmm...)
So it's so upsetting that I suck at making them! I like to think I'm a pretty good cook, it runs in the family. Yet eggs for some reason I can never get right?
Like, they're so simple! It's like if I somehow made a grilled cheese terrible, how tho??? Plus...my mother makes the best eggs I've ever tasted, yet I do everything she does and I never get the same result.
She even told me all she really does is add a bit of water to make them fluffier! Like...are you sure that's all you do? WHAT'S YOUR SECRET WOMAN!? LMAO!
Anyone else here have some embarrassing cooking stories? I'd live to hear them, and know I'm not alone lol.

When I was 13-14 I put ramen in the microwave and started talking to my friend.
To my shock... the microwave started smoking.
My dumb butt forgot to put water in the bowl with the noodles so the noodles were burning.
The whole house was filled with smoke.
I was ridiculously embarrassed.
Also, don't feel bad.
Brandon can't make pancakes.
I left one alone for 2 seconds (literally), came back and he burnt it.
Ohhh that must've been awful! Since it was ramen though, I'm guessing the whole house smelled good. Lol!
Pancakes, eh? I can see how he could have trouble with them! 2 seconds is a different story tho. XD
You are the second person I've met who can't make eggs.

I don't think I've ever heard someone hate tempura! Course nothing wrong with that
