I miss Danruk Rooface...

I was really shocked by this news, and I didn't now about it until Monday evening when a friend of mine told me. Here's the news from a website (the URL is provided)...
"CONCORD - A Methuen, Mass. man may spend 17 years in a federal prison for producing child pornography under a plea agreement announced Wednesday.
According to acting U.S. Attorney John J. Farley, Matthew Adey, 47, met a 14-year-old Londonderry boy in an online chat group.
“The defendant, aware of the child's age, requested a photograph of the child engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which the child took and sent to the defendant.”
But Adey didn't stop there, according to investigators, he traveled to the child's New Hampshire home in March to have sex with the boy multiple times.
According to the plea deal, Adey will be subject to 10 years of supervised released when he gets out of prison and will have to register as a sex offender. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for December 21, 2017.
The investigation included participation from Londonderry Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, Homeland Security, Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force."

I was really shocked and distraught by the news. Danruk seemed like such a nice guy, too! He was one of the first furry friends I made outside of the Internet, at the Maltese Fur Con in 2014...

I can't believe one of the first fursuiters I met in person turned out to be a child sex offender. It's just awful. At least I waited until I was at least 20 years old to go to a furry con (next month I turn 29). And my parents were warning me to be very careful at these cons, and I have so far. (I was able to prove to them the real cons I've been to, like Anthro New England every winter, are nothing like that CSI baloney.)
But yes, I'm going to miss Danruk, even with what happened. Even K-O the Kangaroo is distraught by this:

I first learned about this on the Saturday after his arrest, back in March, while scrolling through my Facebook and seeing an article with his mugshot on it. I was highly outraged when I learned about this, and it made me further question my association with the furry community as of late.

well i learned about this a week before my birthday july 14th i been a wreck since then, then again i never had a BF in prison
