I've been hyper insane busy recently with moving, figuring out school, and I'm going to Poland soon... and then I start school immediately after that, soooo.... Expect long delays. Like, more than a month of ninja vanishing...
FA+

anyway, good to hear from you.
do you have polish ancestors or relatives or something? just curious.
it's funny how many americans have at least some german in them. :)
Who knows though. And yeah, there is a lot of German blood hanging around America... We don't exactly have a lot of long standing fueds with them I figure, plus we beat the Nazis, so there isn't so much butthurt about them on our side either.
And about WWII, more vets seem to agree that most germans were good soldiers and respectable men in most regards. The SS wasn't Germany, it was hitlars personal army, and germany didn't have much of a choice but to follow its leader. Hitlar was just a mistake that spawned from the rest of Europe beating down Germany's economy into utter shit, people were starving to death, and the Germans needed a way out... Hitlar was that way out, for while he was good for Germany, and it wasn't until later that he threw out the senate and became a dictator, and started war mongering.
Hate: is ignorance, and pride, and the unjustifiable need to feel better than another.
Hitler's success was probably because the time was right. economy was down to below bottom because of reparations payments sucking the country dry from money and energy. in the given situation I guess I might have raised my hand, too, following the masses. I despise his ideology like anybody else who thinks with their brain, but back then... dunno. I might have become a nazi, too, seeing the wrongness of ways later. too late, even.
when the war began his hordes were well-established without anybody noticing, especially the allied forces. Churchill's predecessor never knew what was about to hit the world between the eyes. if he did, things might have gone vastly different.
Hitler reaching for dictatorship was due to a law the Weimar Republic had erested to make sure there could be re-elections in times of crisis, or if the parliaments were unable to rule for whatever reasons. Hitler foudn out it could be easily abused, and maybe planned on it from the beginning. again, nobody was the wiser until it was too late.
and int he end, our soldiers were trying to protect their home countries because everybody told them the world was against them. or something... I mean, were there ever any soldiers told the truth?
Yanno, even with Obama... my grandpa seems to think he's Satan incarnate too, hahaha... but you gotta admit that it was a good time to be a black or woman democrate, because the republicans sure as hell weren't going to get re-elected. So, if anyone is going to be able to make some damage, it's admittedly Obama. I personally don't agree with his spending practices, but I don't hate the man either... but he's certainly trying to revolutionize the way things are run in America... and that seems to suggest more and more government control. I don't think he's even a fraction like Hitlar', but he could set up as system that might make a future Hitlar possible in America. I DUNNO! *spooky*
Frankly though, I would have been a terrible Nazi, but probably one nontheless, and in a way, hahaha, the whole world was against Germany! Seriously... :B
Our current Pope was a Nazi child, but it wasn't like he could have helped it then.
I don't think humankind will change significantly in that regard. we are no loners on the whole, or else human wouldn't have become the dominating species.
Obama has a lot to do, and I think many of his solutions will hurt. (germany needs a lot of changes, too, and they will hurt as hell for sure, but everybody is reluctant to do the first step. they want to be re-elected, forgetting that this ain't their duty to begin with. the oath they swore is apparently meaningless.) but they are necessary...
but what the governator does is not necessary either, saving money on the backs of the poor. I mean, he's from austria, he should know how it's to be done without making the poor even poorer, but still.
hm, democratic dictatorship? sounds like a short by Philip K Dick. :)
many people here are nazi children. it's like, inevitable. the question is, do they follow the lead, or have they learned from the past? with Ratzinger some times you can doubt it. he _is_ conservative, after all. he started to pray to the altair instead to the people again, a habit laid off for centuries... and he successfully kept any woman from reaching any place of power to speak of within his circle of power.
personally, I am a direct child of war. my mother's family was shooed off from eastern prussia by russian troops, and they fled all their way down to southwestern germany. without that I wouldn't exist... not that I like that thought.
And, yeah... I need to wrap this up and I think we can agree that humanity leaves a lot to be desired on the whole, and there is no right way to go about doing things in the end. Everyone has their own ideas about what is ethical and important, and there isn't a chance in hell every will be on the same page about it, let alone read from the same book.
I need to take my flight out to Poland now, but man, I enjoy our time together, and you're a great person to have watching me. Thanks. :D
But, heh... everything can be some sort of a blessing with the right mentality about it. I admire our conversations together, and sure as hell like ya, and I think you have a lot of merritable thing about ya that you can be satisfied about! Haha, buck up! :3
See ya around.
pleasant travel, and take care! see ya around!
Please? <:3
