Computer, tablet et all [Part 2]

Thanks to a USB and a new CD-ROM drive (actually a blu ray drive - wowzers!), my computer is all up and running. Huzzah!
Notable hitches:
having to scour the net to upgrade your network drivers so the computer will recognize that the green cable plugged in is indeed the internet. Had to get a program to tell me what drivers to update
down a drive: One of my hard drives isn't recognized anymore, I suspect a broken cable BUT the new 2 terabyte external hard drive I picked up to transfer files before the nuke is more then adequate to deal that that particular problem
BONUS: the nuke meant my tablet was able to install itself correctly and now works! So I can draw again, YAY!
Slowly reinstalling all the programs that I use on a day to day basis plus updates for graphics card and other hardware is what I'll be doing this morning before work
The whole experience has netted me +50 to troubleshooting and computer knowledge.
