Movie - Train to Busan

General
Weekend has not gone to plan but I did get to see a movie. Train to Busan.
Its a South Korean zombie movie and so much more.
I rarely get engrossed in a movie where I am yelling at the screen and getting out of my seat pacing. Simple story and I got really attached to the characters.
With out getting into it, a company man is taking his daughter to Busan to visit her mother(his ex wife). They get on the train and the zombie outbreak happens at the same time. As a zombie movie, there is blood and gore, with some violence. The actors for the zombies do a great job at turning and attaching.
If you are looking for a spoopy movie for halloween give this one a try.

FA+

If there is a movie or other media that I really enjoy I always want to share those.
Train to Busan turned into a great character study in a zombie setting.
We have a man who did everything he could to support his family. Keep them comfortable and wanting for nothing. He ends up sacrificing his interaction with his family to bring that to them. Now distant and cold to them the daughter has grown up wanting his attention and driving his wife away.
In his own world he's exposed to self interest and selfishness. Now has a very different and closed look at the world and people. Convinced by his mother he is going to try and start again. As the events play out, he is seen as an opportunist, taking from others all the while his daughter is giving to others. He is taken back by this and yet his has a code of conduct there. "Finish what you started" He means well, just lost sight of the bigger picture.
It trying to save his daughter he inadvertently helps others at the start and as tome goes on he includes everyone in with his daughter to help and save.
I think that this comes through as he finds focus. Loss of his mother, possibly his wife and business. When so much is taken there is a chance to build up the determination to fight. In the end his mission is the same, protect his daughter. Now that all has been taken away, his is striped down to just his emotions and accepts that he is at the end of his journey and has done all he can to save his daughters life.
I feel that he made a full journey and had a complete life. Not a happy ending for him but he did something that matter.
Not many ask. :)
Sometimes though it is just a delight to go with the so bad its good stuff like Troll2
