2011 iMac 21.5 with Sierra though it had lion when I bought it I believe.i got a WD Blue PC SSD (which I was told to purchase and was told it was going to work in my Mac but I have no idea if it will)
...Frabkly as I do not know what you just said...no. No I do not.
Apple uses a partition table scheme called GPT. You can't just raw install the OS to the drive like Windows or Linux, you will need to get a live USB with a linux distro on it so you can re-partition your SSD to have a GPT table on it, then you need to physically replace the drive in the computer and have a live USB with OSX on it to install. Do you have Telegram? I can help you with this a bit more if you want, find me pandayena
I was told through apple to just install the new harddrive and then bring it in for them to redownload my os and such. So, not sure what all you are talking about but I had it covered since Apple was the one to tell me to do it.
Ohh x3 I thought you were trying to do a raw reinstall of the OS yourself, without Apple's help. Nevermind then! They will do the rest, just give them the drive :P
