About my old backlog, and about reopening for business:
For everyone who I owe commissions to: it is likely that I will be doing little-to-no backlog work until January. My partner and I are broke, but we have a lot of medical bills (especially since my insurance lapsed in August), on top of our normal rent and my late student loans and everything else, so I'll have to open up for new commissions yet again while most or all of you won't see anything you deserve just yet. I'm sorry, I know it's unpleasant to see someone do that kind of thing over and over while they still owe you, and I do hope to rectify things, one way or another. In light of my extreme dereliction, I do have a plan to help deal with my backlog, as well: I will give refunds as I'm able to those who specifically ask for them, provided I have not made significant progress on their order (though if I really love your order's details a lot I might beg a little to keep it). "As I'm able" means that I have to have enough to cover any upcoming expenses, then enough excess to pay the refund amount, which would be equal to the amount originally paid. To provide that amount value to me, just find me the order receipt ID number on PayPal and I'll search it up. Do not use the refund request button, as I will send the money when I have it; it is unnecessary to use that function, and I would greatly prefer you didn't, please! For now, please don't make your requests for refunds just yet! As I said, we're flat broke, and we'll have to actually get some money back and bills paid before this undertaking. Expect an update around the New Year, when the issue and plan can be further addressed.
This news also comes with changes to my way of business. I know, I just changed my ToS and everything else a few months ago, but believe it or not I'm actually doing this to simplify the process! The new ToS will be in plain English and the price catalog will be cut down to only what is necessary, so as to make things easier on everyone involved. From now on, as my new Terms of Service will state when I complete them, I'll only be taking orders at my selective discretion from something akin to application-style order forms, so that I may work on ideas that inspire me, resulting in a finer product. Unlike all times past, I will only ever accept one paid order at a time. If it is not completed within a month, a refund may be requested and will be given. No more queues or backlog.
There'll be a new Google Form ready soon and anyone can literally fill one out any time. I'll look them over and, if I decide to take the order, I'll let you know and give a price quote. Once payment is sent, I'll get to work. Should be done in a week, but if it isn't within a month, I'll send a refund if you ask. No more weird policies about stuff, and only one order at a time. It puts me at such a disadvantage to have queues and a backlog, so I won't be taking new orders until I finish the current paid one. Any other order forms submitted will be kept on file if I like the look of them, and the submitter will be notified that it's under consideration, but another order is currently on deck, and they may be contacted again in the near future for me to take their order on.
Here's the annoying part, everyone, and I am sorry: I'm not gonna be using PayPal anymore because it's policies are unsafe as shit and if I ever get caught out as drawing porn they can literally freeze my account and take all the money in it for violation. So I'm switching to Payza, and I honestly suggest you all do the same. Seriously. It's encrypted as fuck, has excellent buyer-seller mediation procedures, and its general use policies are sound on all fronts. It asks for slightly more information than paypal, but its security is incredible. The reason it asks for more info is actually it also allows for bitcoin transfer. Since most of the deep web drug hands (as well as a lot of cults and hate groups) trade in bitcoin, Payza keeps things on-site safer and cleaner by making sure they can report you if you, say, buy drugs or illegal weapons.
Thanks, guys. For everyone who has stuck with me: I hope I don't disappoint. For everyone who's fed up and leaving: I'm sorry I made so many mistakes. For everyone else: Wish me luck.

I hope that your new concept will work out for you!
I also am hoping to hear from you in january or so regardinng my backlogged ( from squishtorimi on twitter ) commission! I am still eager to get it instead of having it refunded :3
I must admit I've mixed feelings about this, though not because I have a backlog with you. That part I don't care about that much.
What I'm concerned about is you getting in over your head trying to "come from behind" with commissions. I've seen many an artist get hopelessly behind and end up accidentally defrauding a bunch of their clients, who leave in disgust. The fanbase disappears, and the crash comes. Commissions delay the end a little, but they don't prevent it. They're just not steady enough except to a tiny minority with a HUGE fanbase. In the end, a job - even a part time job - is far steadier and often far greater income then commissions ever can be. Rather like my freelance tutoring, they can supplement job income, but they can't replace it. I know of which I speak, because I helped a couple of other artists that had "commission crashes" out of their holes, and until very recently I lived off freelance income myself.
Plus, I am confused why you suddenly lost health insurance. Being poor and having little income, the only circumstance I can imagine that happening is if you live in a Medicaid "Refusenik" state (and fuck John Roberts with a rusty chainsaw for allowing that). If that's the case, I'm truly sorry. But if it is NOT the case, you should be on Medicaid yesterday. I am - I live in New York State - and it is literally keeping me alive. Plus a lot of states will actually pay back medical bills up to six months if you qualify for Medicaid, basically covering you retroactively. If you have any questions, note or message me and I'll try to help.
