Depends if you'd feel comfortable with other people's fantasies being pushed onto your characters; but if you are, I don't see a reason why not!
I know other artists who get paid to draw their characters having fun all the time, and they enjoy it.

Shouldn't be any complaints for you charging the fair price for the extra work. Should immediately set the expectation that an idea involving either can be declined based on the subject matter at your own discretion though

I think the other comments above are important. You and Benju need to be comfortable with your characters banging around with strangers. Personally, I don't have an issue with my characters because they're totally fantasy, but I know that some people do take their characters much more personally, and would rather not see their significant others' characters fooling around either.

Perhaps maybe consider it for close friends only for now, until you and Benju are more comfortable with it?

If you're cool with that then yeah, go for it. I know artists that don't allow that at all, some allow it but only with friends and people they know, some allow it with anyone but for extra charge, and some that just do whatever and allow anything. If you're not comfortable with it, then don't, but if you're fine with it, do.

I guess it's really up to you and Benju and how you feel about seeing your characters do things you wouldn't really expect them to, and how personally you feel towards your characters. If you're not comfortable doing specific things, I just wouldn't accept it. You need to be okay with what you're drawing.

Price-wise it sounds fine to me. The real issue is how comfortable you two are with having your characters used in coms with other people. If there's no issue there, then I say go for it.

I think it'd be great! I think it'd be fair.... Though maybe you can offer a discount -if- you love the idea the commissioner comes to you with?


I also think... if you -do- allow them, you should also put in your rules about them... That you HOLD full rights to say no or to discuss the ideas involving them or anything else to make sure you are comfortable still. That you keep the rights to them as your characters and all.

I really really stress that bit, that you keep the rights and keep the thought, "I can say no" foremost in your mind if commissions involving them come to you ^^

While that may be good for people to be easily to commission two people, you would want to decline some of them if you don't approve of the content of said commission.

I mean, you already choose what to commission. Don't see how this is different if both of you guys liked what the commisionee was asking of you guys.

Seems reasonable to me. Just be sure to set boundaries so they don't ask for anything you'd be uncomfortable with

well it would be another character more so yeah extra payment is understandable.

As someone who is extremely protective of his own OC's, I would think long and hard about how comfortable you are with letting them be used in someone else's commission. But the artists who I've seen do something along these lines are very successful.

Just cuz its your own dude(s) doesnt mean you dont have to charge to DRAW em
