Really need to get back into drawing...
I have all these awesome ideas on what I want to draw, but I just lose my motivation when it comes down to it most of the time... If I did commission work, I'd be obligated to do the work, but I never feel like I'm enjoying it if I'm obligated, which is why I stopped doing commissions.
Idk, I'm at a fork in the road... On one hand, I want to keep drawing, but I lack motivation. I only get motivated if I'm obligated. But obligation bums me out...
On one hand, the money is nice. Really nice.
On the other, doing free art with no rules is equally as nice and stress-free.
What should I do, guys? Throw me a bone here... :/

Free art allows you to not feel feel constrained and obligated yes but it's something you have to watch and not be taken advantage of with.
Commissions is nice yes, monz be monz but I get what you say about the obligation bumming you... You feel you HAVE to get it done, no time to enjoy doing it. (plus some people are all "wantz it done NOW"...)
I wish I could help dude, I don't wanna give the lame answer of "do whichever feels best to you" but it's the only thing I got. Sorry big, cosmic dragon. :/
If someone buys art from you, they need to know to let you do your magic in peace, then BOTH parties can enjoy it and be happy with the final product.
I support you.
