Glad you have internet! Why do you feel out of place, if I may ask?

I'm just more aware than usual that the majority of what I ever draw is something that a vast majority of any of my watchers will ever care about. And that's fine - I'm not gonna say that they should like everything - but it does make me feel like I'm standing in the middle of a group I shouldn't be in. Especially when I myself only really watch the Mass Effect stuff on this site.

It just feels like there's not much for me, and that I don't have much for my watchers. Especially in my favorite uploads. That said, there's still some stuff that only really belongs here, and that'll keep me around anyway to some degree, no matter what.

Also: No net yet! Gotta wait until next month. But sooooooon

Gotta do what make you happy! Nothing wrong with taking a break from this site. In my opinion, you should draw what you want to draw, not what your watchers want you to draw. Whatever your decision is, I am a fan of your art and I'm eternally grateful for you bringing Kaso to life!

While I fully believe that opinion to be the right way, too, I also know that I want the stuff I make to be liked. I feel like that's a little petty, but a lot human. And I know the stuff I do that's liked, compared to the stuff I like to do. After enough time, that feeling of obligation shows up again to sorta crush that ideal, I think.
But anyway! We'll see how things go. Was mostly just giving an update as to why I was weeks behind on my monthly post, weeks behind on checking new art, weeks behind on any commenting, haven't uploaded my stuff from the last couple weeks, etc.

...and as I type this, I still am. Hahah

It looks like a lot of us are flip flopping around trying to find what's comfortable. Good luck with your ych and congrats on the internet upgrade! I know that really bothered you so I hope it helps.

Eh, to be fair, I never really felt comfortable on this site at all. I love that there's a lot of great Mass Effect art around usually, but that's about it. And it lets me post my own NSFW content somewhere when that pops up, and loads faster than many sites. It's not like there's nothing! I just feel suuuuuuuuuuuuuper out of place with the site as a whole, and I'm more aware of that in recent months. I think it may just be NotForMe, and after trying for a couple years now, I feel tiiiiiiiiiiiired. Hahaha

And thanks! I'm way ready for better net. And I'm hopeful that it'll let me stay more open/keep up with my friends better, too. It'd be nice to stay on pace, and be able to share more.

That's fine. I know I multiplatform for audience comfort but I've also been considering selective content posting. Some artists I know have a site for personal works, for portfolio, and for free for all and honestly I've been considering that myself. About a few years ago I got some harsh pigeonholing on tumblr I tried breaking free of that ended up souring a lot of things. Like passive aggressive stuff and unwanted criticism that was just bleh. Made me feel like a one trick pony. Now I'm kinda spread out but being in an odd spot has me thinking on what may be best again. A lot of it has to do with unresolved irl things though, so I try to keeo that in mind.

Hopefully you figure out what's best for you to make you happy. Just leave some breadcrumbs if you abandon fa for us to follow and we're golden I have a bad habit of leaving things in my gallery to look at so that probably isn't helping your mood euther if lack of feedback is part of it. (I fav and remove from my sub box in the same go, so some of your scenery stuff and morrowind stuff is still there because I gotta stare at it It Is The Law)

I feel less like I'm being caged, and more like I'm wasting time and effort for something that doesn't do much for me, but I get what you mean.

And yeah, I'm not going to just abandon entirely. I may do nothing at all. I just feel super weird here lately is all. If nothing else, I'm still uploading elsewhere with the same username, and I'll likely catch up here in time, too. Plus the NSFW stuff that can't go elsewhere. Hahaha

And nah, I'm pretty used to not having feedback. That was actually one of the things that surprised me a bit when I started posting here -- that there WAS any, but over time it's kinda just become what every other site on the net is. But I feel like that's only a slight indication of interest in things, too, so I dunno! It's weird to put into words, but I feel it here anyway, so I've been quietly ignoring all the things on this site to avoid that feeling. :o

And yeah... I think that's just how it goes though. It's fine -- I always have other sites I can post on, and could just use this one more sparingly. Which is a bit of what I already did - my last two pictures were just uploaded elsewhere instead.

ALSO! I see that you uploaded a bunch since I stopped checking! I'll have some things to dig through soon (when I'm not coloring)!
