Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that. I know what it's like sadly and I hope that you can remember all the times you've had with your cat fondly.

I had to do that same thing with my cat growing up and I still miss her very much. It's been 12 years since we had to put her down and it still hurts sometimes. But I mostly remember what an amazing friend she was and all the good times too, And how much better behaved she was compared to our current two cats. When the time comes don't worry Meteo your cat pal knows you love them very much, and it sounds like they loved a long and happy life.

Sadly, cats and dogs never last long enough. 18 years is a long run for either one. Still, we're never ready.
