From what I've heard, there are worse things than dialysis, though. You probably won't be able to travel much, you'll need to stay near your clinic. Your diet is probably restricted already, that will be more important. There are two ways to do dialysis; they can use your own peritoneum as the filter membrane or they can pump your blood out, through an artificial filter and back in again. What type you get depends on... well, that I don't know, but your doctor can advise you.

Yeah I've already been through the preliminary stuff and decide on peritoneal dialysis I'll have to have a stent put in a couple of weeks before they start the dialysis so they can use the layer between my stomach and stuff to fill the liquid in that helps process the blood.
