Just addressing something small

I've had a handful of people commission me, get the sketch and then never respond. I get that people may not be satisfied, especially with the way it may appear (often my sketches differ from the final piece)
Not to reply for a few days is fine and THEN get back to me but if people are starting to ignore that and messages I send afterwards then tbh, I find it incredibly rude and I'll just block them and not do business with you again. It's just not my style, sorry.
I may not reply to all my notes, mostly when people ask for edits but that's because I want to do the edits before I send something back (less notes for me, I suppose)
Just sucks having to wait around for a week or two and then cancel it yourself because the other party won't.

I always let people cancel their commission at the sketch stage but to ignore it. Rude af.
Sometimes I hold off on my commissions til the previous person has replied so it slows me down (though because of this, I'm just starting to carry on and let the list go in any random order)
i think it's mostly that i'm terrified they'll think i was being dishonest, that i just wanted the free sketch and never intended to even consider buying a full commission.... i just really hate letting people down though.
I hate waiting around not knowing where I stand with them, I would rather them turn me down before payment is sent.
i even have a friend who ALWAYS hates the sketches i do for him, but ALWAYS loves the final image. some folks can see the whole vision at a glance, some can't. everybody's different.
