25 years ago today, on November 24th, 1992, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis was released! While Tails did officially debut in the Master System (EU) version about a month prior, and the Japanese release date for Sonic 2 (Mega Drive) was actually November 21st; the 24th of November, 1992, marks the USA/EU release on the Genesis/Mega Drive, respectively.
Also, this date was one of the cheat codes in Sonic 2. In the Sound Test, playing the sound effects, one time each, in the order of: 1-9-9-2-1-1-2-4, would enable Debug Mode, allowing you to select any object available in a level and place it on the screen.

I had bought Sonic 2 a few years later, and wanted it really badly so I chose rush processing and shipping, which of course cost extra. But of course, the date I ordered it was....well, September 10th, 2001. Needless to say, I did not get my package for about three weeks...
