Being a Facebook mod is painful

I am bear.
I'm getting really sick of being criticized for how I run the Greymuzzles group on Facebook. It's getting to where some people are insulting me, calling me "yellow," saying I suck, and so on. Of course, the idiots then get blocked from the group, but it really hurts when you are trying to do a good job and give people a safe place to share their furriness, and then you get this shit from ingrates.
I remember when I first started "Ask Papabear" and got the same shit from people criticizing me for trying to help others. Once, at Califur, I even saw a nasty post about me on a message board (the physical bulletin board).
Sometimes it's enough to make me wonder why I even try to help people. But, then I do get some compliments and they keep me going. Not that I'm looking to have my ego stroked--I'm really not!--but it would be nice to at least not be CRITICIZED for trying to do some good in the fandom.
Okay, end of rant. I get pissed off sometimes.

My friend, life is like that. No matter how helpful one can be, there is always someone that see it another way. As I always tell others forget the folks that don't enjoy what you are doing and always enjoy the ones that do. Draw strength from the yeas and not defect from the nays.

I think you do an excellent job, and I've appreciated when you've stepped in on discussions that became heated or were just inappropriate for that group to begin with. Thanks for continuing to do it, and very sorry people don't acknowledge you more.
