I've seen them around a while, and I've seen people I know do them. I have some questions for people about them:
What do you think of them?
Have you ever done them?
Are people generally fair in what they send?
If you've bought one, were you satisfied with what you got?
How do you avoid people being pissy about what you give to them, even if you think its fair?
I've been considering this as a type of commission I would do, should I ever have a chance to open up to them again. Just kinda curious how they've been working out for people.

Do some examples like.. $1 - $3 will get you this or this.... $10 - $15 gets you this, this, or this... even if you don't publically share the list at least you have it for reference so if/when people offer you have an idea of what you would be comfortable doing.
I haven't ever done this kind of thing personally so I can only offer suggestions as a by-stander. Keep in mind that there's many people who try to get as much as they can for next to nothing or free so be prepared that some people may not be happy with what they're given. It's just Russian roulette unfortunately. On the other hand I am sure lots of people understand what they offer is what they're getting and are happy regardless to have a piece of art by you.
