Looking for advice regarding poster printing.

Please take a moment to read this. Especially if you're an artist drawing for me
My mate IRL, TheLa(her artist name) wants to draw a large piece of art that she can print on a large poster(somewhere around 32x32 inch canvas)
Her question for all those poster printing savvy people out there, is this:
How big should the resolution that she draws with on Paintool SAI, be in, to get a clear, sharp image when printed on a large surface like 32x32?

Anything less than 150 DPI resolution will not be 'sharp' when you print at that size. If she can, try working with a canvas that's set to 300 DPI for what ever dimensions she wishes to draw the image in. 300 DPI is the standard/recommended resolution choice for doing tabloid/magazine quality prints as well as 'tabloid' sized prints for Digital Art that is for sale.
