Any avian experts here?

General
I am planning a cooperation with an avian artist and in order to do my part (some writing) correctly, I would need some help. A superficial google search did not deliver the results I needed so I try my luck here.
The question regards gulls and I wanted to know how their digestive apparatus worked regarding very large meals.
Any help would be appreciated.

As a bird expert, I honestly don't know. Seagulls are just magical beings that turn fish into a mess on your car.

nice way of putting it, but I think it is a bit short for a story.

Most birds have a crop which stores food, which then goes into a stomach, which finally goes into a gizzard which chews the food. Then it comes out as a white lump reminding every living thing what a bird's digestive system can do to you.

The link i am missing is how much damage the stomach dies by itself and if food gors back and forth between them.

I don't think it's a lot. The gizzard is where the real digestion happens

doe it have acids too? I looked at a few schematic pictures and it looked like the stomach was just producing juices for the gizzard. Also how much can it hold? What happens with large prey?
