Lots of artists divide themselves between SFW, NSFW, and personal accounts and there’s many reasons for doing so. The three I’ve heard when I talk to others is:

-keeping content organized on a platform that’s not too great for it. (Posts come and go like crazy, art gets buried under updates and such)
-their audience is divided on their content (some are only pro SFW)
-Afraid of putting everything in one basket at the risk of losing it all (if their account gets shut down for any reason)

I’ve found it super convenient to condense it all into one twitter account and save myself the juggling act but I have no expectations on my shoulders for it, let alone the three issues I’ve been told. Twitters okay for marketing and getting new viewers with the ease of retweets, if nothing else.

Just depends on what you’re trying to accomplish with it, convenience, organization, marketing, community?
