my grandmother died today at 7 pm.
we had been caring for her in our house for almost two years.


last time i saw her was at 4 30 am she was just a skin and bone skeleton lying in bed eyes glassy and almost white she was turning blueish and her mouth hung wide open gasping for air.

It was a horrific sight but i shrugged and walked out of the room.
Reason told me it's a good thing she finally gave up.

I'm not sad i'm not grieving or bottling up emotions I'm relieved.

but I'll never forget that image.
