Well with me the reason I had problems in the past with some of my writing mature material was it, like Clark's heat vision in Smallville, was tied into my sex drive, pretty much what I liked. Or if I was feeling *cough* amorous at the time I could write it.

Its been so long since I tried to write good smut, that I have no idea if I can anymore. But that should all change tonight and over the next few days. I am off of work and I have free time to write and write and write.

So I can probably answer my own question anyway, but as far as x-rated stuff it is so damn overrated when it comes to good writing and drawing you know? If it can add something or convey the proper emotion sure throw it in.

But if you can get away with implying it for the same effect (cheesecake) then I say do so.

I agree that the x-rated stuff is really overrated. I think I posted this in a fit of emo, wanting to try and gain some popularity on this site. I realized later that that isn't why I would like to be popular, and got over it. Cheesecake, as you suggested, will be enough. XD

I wish you a lot of success in your writing, though! As a writer of smut myself, I know how hard it is to break out of the 'no sex' rut. Good luck!

And I have not answered my own question yet. I opted to write some stuff that was decidedly non porn related.

I took off the next two days, which run into my regular two days off. So I am off from work for four days.

Plenty of time to attempt to write something smutty just to show I still have it.

If not oh well. And yes, I am a procrastinator as well heh.

I know the feeling. I've "owed" people smut stuff for months now, and just can never get in the mood to draw it. We should be able to get procrastinator badges so the world will know not to make demands of us, haha. XD
