There are stores in many malls now that offer to replace screens on phones. Keep in mind, however, that many times the damage from a drop extends past the screen. ALL smartphones need cases now to prevent this sort of damage...And those are in some cases under $20.

Find a phone repair shop, see if the phone still works after glass replacement and GET A CASE if so.

I was going to change over my number that day plus getting a case, but the screen happened and I've had a hard time finding a cheaper replacement for the glass.

I agree with Arch. I had one of my iPhones basically expaid it's battery and couldn't hold a charge and needed a battery replacement. We tried a cell phone mall store (some are kiosks).

Turns out once they took it apart, the battery expending crushed the inner workings of the phone and a replacement battery would not solve the issue since the rest of the guts were damaged beyond repair, so I had to go to Apple for a new replacement unit entirely (which was free!)

But for your basic cracked screen yes they can help!

You might consider sapphire glass or Gorilla glass, as well as Otterbox line. I use a big beefy Otterbox defender, but there are also commuters and symmetry's that are less armor plated. I get dizzy spells and hand cramps so I bought the defender, and yes it's skidded screen/face first in the parking lot falling out of the car, and yes it fine. =)

The case takes the beating for your phone.

I know about the case. I just need the glass repaired so I'll be looking around for someone that can help. I'm sorry to hear about your phone though. :c

I suggest an otter case. It can take some pretty heavy abuse from just about anything... even when thrown against a wall lol.
