Oh hey, their whining AGAIN!

You know, I really don't care about star wars, 'cept maybe the new rebels series, but I'm seeing a pattern similar to when the last big hype didney monster media mash, of many people who would vocally align themselves against 'snowflakes' yet often would permeate the same traits associated with the connotations of that social phrase, almost like their projecting, funny that.
"If you're wondering why critics are rating this cinematic suppository so highly, it's probably because they don't want to be accused of sexism." Do kindly fuck right off with that persecution complex please.
I hate to be.....one of 'those' guys, but, i kinda *miss* those old days, when people would just say they didn't like a piece of media, or just make arguments that its bad, or just rant about it, except now it's all about this 'muh culture war' bullshit. It's especially damning when there actually is a cultural reflection that is legitimately terrifying, and is a reflection of our current economics, namely we live in a culture that is basically waiting for the lights to go out, watching prettier versions of reruns, ala production for its own sake on a planet of finite resources, all in the name of the Shiney. yay.
Nostalgia is going to kill us...unless we kill it first though. There is that. Like, kill the concept of nostalgia...and like, not be obsessed with and/or buy into the past, aside from learning about history, perhaps? that might actually...wake us up, or at least make us dream of something different to get our shit in gear or something!
Still though, it actually is more fun is watching these first world problems folk get giggled at for the shiteads that they are, watching those very same shitheads that have become the very defacto fun police they were seemingly been against in the first place, all because of insecurities they have.
Speaking of, here's some silly unititedkingdomian giggling at some of those folks now, and take note of the mistakes of old and learn from them, or something!

I have been tearing up my own twitter and telegram talking to people who have been calling the movie shit because their theories that they been spending two years deducting have been debunked hard. They don't like that they story isn't being told in the way they wanted it to be. Frankly I'm not surprised. The Star Wars fandom is a viciously loyal and very aggressive fanbase that has been around for years and I do consider myself a life-well-wasted fan myself but I don't go batshit crazy over the details that are making people feel they need to boycott it or worse. The movie has flaws but I still enjoy it. I hated the prequels and yet I still have to accept the fact that they are canon. And they think those were better than Last Jedi? Fuck me lol.
The real issue is the audience. The fans. Not just the fans but the die-hard fans who will crucify the movies for getting a lightsaber color hue off in the slightest on a spectrum lol. These are the same kinds of fans who will piss on Return of the Jedi if it was released today in this age for the first time for Darth Vader having a very glossy helmet in it compared to the previous two films. Or the kind of fans who will scream at people for not being true fans because they don't love the movie as much as they do. I hate that 'true' fan crap. If you want to be a real and earnest fan you will roast what you hate and enjoy what was given to you despite the flaws. Or at the very least don't accept it. They are all very much like children.
I seen the movie three times, and each time I laughed and enjoyed it just as much as the first trip to the theatre.
The rabid mess the fans are painting themselves as really makes me feel ashamed to be part of it sometimes. Even us furries are real damn good at bandwaging on stupid shit like this. Nazi furries controversy, fetish gear in cons, the people who want to see the fandom politically divided based on opinion?
Sometimes things get really fucked up. I wish I could say we all need to chill the fuck out but that's just not how the world works anymore.
