Cleaning out the cobwebs, a question for you all

A past love interest made me something, he labored for weeks creating it. Eventually, for several reasons, we decided to call things off, but even then, we still talked. Recently, I did something to upset him terribly, because we haven't talked in what seems like forever. But he never told me what I did, and he has cut me out of his life entirely. He will more than likely never read this journal to see how much it's actually bothering me, and he probably doesn't care. So, now, I'm debating on sending what he gave me back.
So, the question is, if someone sent you something and you two fell out of favor with each other, would you send it back?

Well.... I mean It's a hard thing to decide really... If you love him you can keep it as a happy memory of the time you had. In my case right now I'm looking to sell A pendant I was givin from my ex cause to me it means nothing cause I hate my ex >3>

Deep down I pretty sure I do love him. But he obviously doesn't need me in his life any more, so it's a bit of a challenge to justify those feelings.

It's not going to make anything better by sending it back - if anything, it could make him think that you're pissed at him. Really, it would be best to just hold on to it. At worst, it's something to remember better days with, and at best it's something to give hope of some resolution.

I never do the whole gift swap back with my exes. I like to think back about them and the old gifts are good reminders, of what of what was right and wrong in that relationship. If that's any help

I'd only send it back if he asks, because doing so could offend him more and in turn hurt you both.
