I don't do enough of these deep introspective journals anymore. Mainly because everything is so heat of the moment for me that it's hard to put my thoughts into a coherent paragraph until days later. But enough about how awful I am at typing up comic scripts even though my fun work ties into this, BUT ANYWAY...
So it's 2018, and I haven't posted any comics in months. Also my 30th birthday is next month, so yay for being old. Can't tell you all how bad I feel about that. Especially since I keep looking back at a lot of untapped lore and potential, and how I failed to deliver on any prequels of any sort. It's a big pile of guilt that makes me contemplate doing a huge reboot of my entire lore just to correct all the teeny tiny mistakes and slowly push it away from your typical sprite comic fanfiction-y thing. I mean why not? DC and Marvel reboot their shit all the time. And some web creators even do it in the vain of trying to make their work more than just the next Bob and George or whathaveyou. Hell even Homestuck actually ended with John retconning everything with time travel so...
I would like to share with you all one of my favorite comics for the past decade or two: Invincible from Image Comics.
Invincible has been going on for pretty much the entirety of the 2000's, and is very close to concluding it's story once and for all. This might seem like a digression, but hear me out. You see one of the mini-arcs of Invincible prior to the final story consisted of Mark- the titular hero going offworld and stumbling across a weird psychic plant thing that took him back in time to the very beginning of the story with all of his memories of his past (Or future) adventures intact. He started making changes to events he knew were coming...and then he stopped and decided he wanted to go back to HIS time. Why? Because he has a daughter now, and yeah, he could get back together with Eve again, and maybe they'll have a kid again...but it won't be his daughter. So he goes back to his time with any changes he made in the past null and void.
That right there is some powerful shit that makes you think. And it's why despite all my moaning and nitpicking at myself, I refuse to do a reboot.
At least not an Outsiders reboot.
But anyway thank you all for sticking with me through all of it. Both the jokes you were there for and the ones you weren't. I'm gonna try to get more content out this year than the last, but with my desire to go to college we'll see.
Happy 2018, and happy early birthday to me! The Apotheosis continues!

Though more so constant revisions in my head to try and make things better, an annoying paranoia involving quality in my mind. Least you're brave enough to put your stuff out there.
I'm sure ya can turn whatever problems you feel your story has around : o)b
Other than that it's pretty solid.
